CLEVELAND PARK:

Overview:

Cleveland Park owes its name to onetime resident, Grover Cleveland, who established the summer White House there in 1886, to escape the heat and congestion of downtown Washington, and many famous people have followed suit, right up to the present. The streets are tree-lined and the homes date from the 1880′s through the 1940′s, with the typical sought-after homes being Victorians, Arts & Crafts bungalows and frame and stucco colonials, many of which feature architecturally significant renovations and additions. Running primarily between Connecticut Avenue on the west and Wisconsin Avenue on the east, the neighborhood enjoys access to Metro, shops, movie theaters, and restaurants. Price range: $750,000 5,000,000.
